Synopsis

Set at the end of the nineteenth century, the incredible odyssey of two soldiers of the Indian Army who, dreaming of fortune and glory, establish themselves as monarchs of a remote mountainous country unknown to westerners since Alexander the Great. Adapted from Kipling, this is one of the greatest adventure films in the history of cinema.

Biography

John Huston (1906-1987)

A giant of American cinema. Huston made his name in Hollywood as a screenwriter and dialogue writer, and then as a director and actor. He made about forty films, including The Maltese Falcon (1941), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), The Asphalt Jungle (1950), The African Queen (1951), Moby Dick (1956), The Misfits (1961), The Man Who Would Be King (1975) or The Dead (1987).
