Synopsis
London, 1884. A man with severe deformities is exhibited as a fairground freak. A doctor determines to save him from this terrible existence in order to study him, but soon discovers that John Merrick, to give him his real name, is an intelligent and sensitive person. A stunning work of enormous formal beauty.
