Synopsis

In the eighteenth century, a chef is sacked by his master. Through his contact with an amazing young woman, he summons the courage to break free from his lot as a servant and to offer his talent directly to the public by setting up the first restaurant. A revolution! A film of exquisite taste that subtly combines gastronomy with the sweet taste of revenge.

Biographie

Éric Besnard

Born in 1964. He made his first feature film, The Clown Smiles, in 1999. It was followed by Cash (2008), In Gold We Trust (2010), Mes héros (2012), The Sense of Wonder (2015) & Father Figure (2019). He is also a screenwriter and has worked in particular with Nicolas Boukhrief, Brigitte Roüan, Mathieu Kassovitz and Jean-François Richet.
