The Jota is a dance accompanied by singing, which originated in Aragon but has also spread to other regions across Spain. It is very spectacular and requires great physical effort as it is fast and calls for jumping almost throughout. In his own style, the film-maker explores all the artistic dimensions of this dance and captures its vivacity and beauty through a series of magical tableaux performed by many renowned dancers and musicians.
