José Real is languishing behind the bars of a sinister gaol in Latin America, incarcerated for his revolutionary ideas. His charisma makes him a dangerous leader of men. Faced with the threat he poses, his gaolers devise a scheme to eliminate him: they grant him a day's leave to see his family again. A police agent follows him with the order to kill him at the first sign of an escape attempt.
