Esma lives in Grbavica, a popular district of Sarajevo, bringing up her 12-year-old daughter alone. To make ends meet, she has to work as a waitress in a nightclub. One day, her daughter announces that she needs a document for school to prove that her father died a hero, but it appears that Esma cannot provide one. So what is this mystery?
