Setting Moscow aflame by releasing a flight of birds with flaming wings over the city roofs: with this brilliant idea, a young Russian General becomes a national hero by persuading Napoleon to flee. Now an old man, he is still paying dearly for that moment of glory. But his encounter with a stray dog offers him the chance to rehabilitate himself.
