Hamza is a poet. He lives in Sarajevo with his family as the city is under siege. After managing to evacuate his wife and daughter, he gives refuge in his home to Adis and Kerim, two little boys ages 7 and 9 who have lost both their parents. He attempts to organise their escape to Germany with the help of his Serbian friend, Marko.
