1992, two years after reunification, two German policemen - one from the West and the other from the East - have to conduct an investigation together into the disappearance of two teenage sisters. They find themselves in an isolated region where the effects of the East German regime continue to muddy the waters. No-one has seen anything, and no-one wants to talk about it. So the two men will have to overcome their differences and place themselves in danger if they are to solve the case.
