Synopsis
A former samurai, Yanagida lives a modest life with his daughter in Edo, devoting his days to the game of go with a dignity that commands respect. When his honor is trampled by slanderous accusations, he decides to use his strategic skills to fight for reparation. Honor, revenge and betrayal in feudal Japan.
