Synopsis
Tito, the Yugoslav president, was an insatiable film lover. Well aware of the power of cinema, he created a ‘Hollywood of the East’ in Belgrade and used the film industry as a vehicle for national unification. Using eyewitness accounts, never-before-seen archive footage and extracts from films made at this time, this is the story of a country that now exists only in the cinema.
