Synopsis
Slovakia, 1940. Marika, the Hungarian widow of a Slovak soldier killed on the front, loses her job as a seamstress as a result of the deportations. She moves to the countryside, where she is courted by two men, a German officer and a militiaman, and takes great risks by hiding a young Jewish boy in her barn. A meandering story of courage and survival.
