A peaceful gardener and his wife find their lives turned upside down when a wealthy Russian moves into the neighbouring castle and decides to buy all the surrounding land. But the gardener refuses to sell, and the rich Russian is prepared to use any means to make him bend. A satirical variation on the absurd and impossible struggle between David against Goliath.
