Synopsis
1979. Ester moved to Alta, in the north of Norway, to start teaching. Like many Sami at that time, she is ashamed of her roots and dissimulates her ethnic origin. But confronted with the government's brutal policies against her people, she finally reveals herself and starts some action. A people's magnificent fight for survival.
