Wrongly held responsible for the death of his best friend, Daniel, a gypsy is banished from his community with a debt to pay. Haunted by that accident, he gradually sinks into delinquency and finds refuge in a shabby hotel run by characters engaged in shady activities. There he meets Francine, a beautiful and fragile young woman, and decides to flee with her from this hell.
