One morning, 30-year-old Erik receives a telephone call from his ex-girlfriend Moonika. He is surprised because he hasn't seen her for six months. She tells him that she is about to give birth to his child. Erik makes his way to the maternity ward and discovers that the young woman refuses to accept her role as a mother. So he is faced with a dilemma: if he does not agree to care for the baby, the child will be declared abandoned and put up for adoption.
