Lola is a writer rather lacking in inspiration who is commissioned by a newspaper to investigate a real episode that took place in the dying days of the Civil War: a Fascist ideologue was saved from execution by a young Republican soldier. While attempting to reconstruct this story that is full of contradictions, the young woman will set off in search of herself without really knowing it.
