Fifty-year-old Vesna is a home-care nurse who lives alone in Zagreb. Occasionally babysitting for her eldest son, whose wife is expecting their second child, she is now looking forward to the marriage of her daughter who has just completed her studies. Everything is going well when an unexpected telephone call brings back a secret she has tried to hide for twenty years.
